Martin D. Kappenman is an attorney with Seaton, Peters & Revnew, P.A.
Mr. Kappenman represents employers in connection with the full range of employment and labor law issues. He has successfully litigated claims relating to non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, shareholder disputes, accommodation and leave requests, employment contracts, discrimination, harassment, reprisal and retaliation in state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He also has significant experience representing clients in arbitration proceeding arising out of collective bargaining agreements. He works with employers to avoid costly and time consuming litigation by providing counseling regarding drug testing, privacy issues, OSHA compliance, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, personnel policies, employee handbooks, hiring, discipline, discharge and other employment matters.
Mr. Kappenman is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School and the University of Oklahoma. Upon graduation from law school he worked as a law clerk for the Minnesota Supreme Court. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Minnesota and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Kappenman is active in the Minnesota Bar Association, the Ramsey County Bar Association and several construction industry and business trade organizations. He has been repeatedly recognized as a “Rising Star” by Law and Politics and Twin Cities Business magazine.
