Emily L. Ruhsam is an attorney with Seaton, Peters & Revnew, P.A. She advises and represents employers on various employment and labor related matters including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour law, FMLA, ADA, employment contracts, employment compliance matters, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
Ms. Ruhsam received her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 2008. During law school, Ms. Ruhsam clerked with the Upper Midwest Pension Rights Project, Equal Opportunity Employment Commission, Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, and served as an Employment and Labor Law research assistant. Ms. Ruhsam also founded the Employment and Labor Law Society and served as its first President.
Before attending law school, Ms. Ruhsam worked as a Human Resources Representative for the Marshfield Clinic. She graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2001 with a Bachelors of Business Administration emphasizing in Human Resources Management. Ms. Ruhsam is certified as a Professional in Human Resources by the Society for Human Resources Management and active in the Society for Human Resource Management. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association and is licensed to practice before the state court of Minnesota.
