Bryan T. Symes is an associate attorney with Seaton,
Beck & Peters, P.A.
Mr. Symes represents employers exclusively in the area
of employment and labor law, and provides counseling
and litigation services associated with such substantive
topics as employment practices policies, discrimination,
harassment, reprisal, unemployment benefits, wage and
hour law, FMLA, ADA, employment contracts, employment
compliance matters, affirmative action plans, and non-compete
and non-solicitation agreements.
Mr. Symes contributes to and co-edits “Bar Talk,”
the monthly newsletter of the Minnesota Chapter of the
Federal Bar Association. He authored “Constructive
Discharge in the Eighth Circuit: A Primer for New Lawyers,”
and co-authored “Employment Law A to Z –
A Whirlwind Tour through Employment Law for Those Less
Experienced.”
Mr. Symes previously worked as an associate attorney
at the Minneapolis law firm of Holstein Kremer, PLLC.
He began his legal career in Illinois, practicing for
approximately two years in the Chicago metro area before
moving back to the Twin Cities with his wife and daughter.
Mr. Symes graduated, cum laude, from Chicago-Kent College
of Law in 2004. While in law school he was honored with
the CALI Award and served as Vice President of a Chicago-Kent
Law Society. Mr. Symes obtained his Bachelors Degree
in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
in 2001.
Mr. Symes is an active member of the Federal Bar Association
(Communications Committee), the Minnesota State Bar
Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and
the Hennepin County Bar Association; he is licensed
to practice before the state and federal courts of Minnesota
and Illinois.
