Corie J. Tarara is an attorney with Seaton, Beck & Peters, P.A. She advises and represents employers on various employment and labor related matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, FMLA, ADA, employment contracts, employment compliance matters, affirmative action plans, and non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
Ms. Tarara previously worked as an associate at the law firm of Winthrop & Weinstine. For almost five years prior to receiving her law degree, she was a paralegal and law clerk with one of the nations’ largest fishing equipment manufacturers, working closely with management on union and non-union matters such as OSHA compliance, workers’ compensation, safety programs, accommodations, harassment investigations, and discipline and termination issues, among other daily employee-related matters. Additionally, she worked for several years as a paralegal in several law firms in their labor and employment practice, as well as working in the law department for a Fortune 500 company.
Ms. Tarara received her law degree from the University
of Tulsa College of Law in 2004. While in law
school, Ms. Tarara was a senior staff member for the
Energy Law Journal, and Phi Delta Phi.
She obtained a Bachelors Degree in English from the
University of Iowa in 1997.
Ms. Tarara is a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, Wisconsin State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, and is licensed to practice before the state courts of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
